Fractured but not broken – unique pounamu pendant

Every piece of pounamu is beautiful, but some pieces come along that just won’t let you go. And this is one of those taonga.

It’s unconventional. It’s even a little bit crazy. It looks like a possum took a bite out of it.  But we love it!

And we thought you might too.

It still bears all of its battle scars. Fractured, but not broken. Broken, but still strong.

These taonga were never wasted by our tupuna.  Their wairua never discarded or treated with disrespect. Their flaws make them more beautiful.

Once you hold this taonga in your hands and play with it you will see why we think its so special. It reflects the truth of some of us – battered and broken by what life has brought our way, yet we are stronger and more beautiful for it.
