Timoti is the creator extraordinaire, working hard to carve all the magical pieces you see on these pages.
I spend most of my days designing, carving and talking with clients, hearing their stories and working with them to design a piece that tells the story they want to tell. I really enjoy connecting with my customers on this personal level and then being able to tell their stories through my carving.
When I need to revive my creative juices I take myself off up the awa to spend some time with Papatuanuku and Tangaroa uncovering more beautiful taonga for carving and sharing.
I am also working with local schools and organisations to teach our rangatahi about the history of Pounamu in NZ and introduce them to the joy of carving this precious taonga.
Morganne is the muka that binds it all together.
In between homeschooling our 3 tamariki I try to keep on top of the office work and connect with you beautiful people out there in social media land.
I like to dabble in a little design myself and derive great pleasure in getting Tim to carve my designs so that I can test drive the prototypes before they go out to customers.
Amongst so much learning this pounamu journey has also allowed me to seriously indulge myself in my lifelong enjoyment of photography. I’m still a beginner but I’ve had a lot of fun taking the photos for our website.

“I always felt as though I had no right to wear pounamu as, being European, I almost felt guilty. Tim and Morganne have encouraged me with such different pieces to be confident and wear such incredible jewellery. Being home in NZ makes me feel so blessed. My beautiful taonga radiates such strength and beatify. When I wear my precious pounamu I feel such strong spiritual connection to my home, it is truly magical. Their take on carving is something I have personally never seen before.
Having a family make a career out of something so treasured to us NZ'ers makes me so humbled and proud. I feel as though no matter what the occasion is, it will always be the perfect finale to my outfit."
