Te Rā – golden pounamu earrings
Rā is the sun. Take a look at these gorgeous earrings and it’s easy to see why we have named them Rā.
Carved from the rare and beautiful Raukaraka pounamu that is named after the leaf of the Karaka tree. The oxidised crust forms this stunning orange golden Raukaraka pounamu. Where many carvers would discard this part of the stone, Tim sees the beauty in the unique and utilises all the pounamu. One must never waste taonga.
And so he created these gorgeous Te Rā pounamu earrings that will add a splash of pounamu colour to any outfit. You can’t help but feel lighter when you put these beauties in your ear.
These earrings are also incredibly versatile – going to a BBQ, work, fancy dinner or night out on the town, or just want some pounamu in your ears? These earrings are perfect.
I have a pair, I wear them all the time. They have a lovely solidness to them. And on those hoops, they swing and dance in your ears in a way that’s quite mesmerising. These would make the perfect little pounamu gift for the earring lover in your life.
