Matomato – lush green pounamu earrings

Matomato means to be green and grow vigorously, in other words, to flourish and be lush.  The green of these earrings is exactly that, lush, with the glow of a vigorously growing plant. And with the light behind them as they sit in your ears these earrings really glow green.  When you wear these pounamu earrings you will feel lush too – I promise.

This pair has a sprinkle of sparkly white inclusion running through the pounamu. It looks like Te Ika a Roa (Milky Way) running through a pounamu sky. And you see that very vivid silvery spot on the right side of the earrings?  That is a beautiful little splash of mica, sparkling in the pounamu.  Kohatu is so remarkable in its character.

Light enough that you can wear them all day every day without a bother.  Beautiful and vibrant in colour so you won’t go unnoticed in them.

These earrings are so versatile;

Going to a BBQ? These earrings are perfect.

Going to work?  These earrings are perfect.

A night out on the town? These earrings are perfect.

Fancy dinner with the whanau? These earrings are perfect.

Just want some pounamu in your ears? These earrings are perfect.

I have a pair, I wear them all the time.  They have a lovely solidness to them.   These would make a lovely little pounamu gift for the earring lover in your life.
