Pīrori – medium pounamu hoop earrings

With a slightly square edge, these pounamu hoop earrings are all style.  The name Pīrori means to twirl round and round, these earrings do just that.  Framing the face, they highlight the lines of the neck and jaw and bring attention to your smile.   The spinning movement also makes them very therapeutic to play with! Every girl needs a pair of hoop earrings.

Tim patiently shapes every hoop by hand, working slowly and gently to maintain an even curve of the hoop. It is meditative work and each hoop takes longer then you would imagine to create. So much of Tim’s wairua and aroha in each taonga.

The hoop is an earring classic that has been worn by a long line of stylish women over the ages. From the original style queen herself, Cleopatra, to Josephine Baker and Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and Sade, all these style icons have sported a pair of hoop earrings.

Representing many different heritages and nationalities, Pounamu hoop earrings bring our very own Māori flavour into the multi-cultural mix and embrace cultural diversity in a way that is modern and fun.

With only two pairs of these earrings don’t hesitate, our hoops never stay on the website for long!
