Tātahi Toki
Tātahi is the beach. With its gold ‘n green colouring this cute little pounamu toki just reminds us of glorious summer days at the beach. Golden sands and clear green waters. It makes me feel all warm inside every time I look at it!
The toki has become a symbol of strength(particularity in time of adversity), courage and fortitude as it had to be strong to endure the cutting and scraping motions of its use. Toki were also worn by elders as a symbol of power, wisdom and authority.
This piece would be great for all ages and sizes. A nice wee taonga for you tamariki but equally as fitting for your tane. A little token of your love.
