Our New Zealand pounamu (greenstone, jade) is carved by a local Nelson carver.
All Pounamu is a Taonga (treasure). It is forged by intense heat and pressure, then blessed and carried from the mountains in rivers. Carved, pounamu becomes a unique heirloom to be treasured.
